Bootsy Collins’ Comment
A TRALEE musician and his Cork based band got a massive seal of approval from Funk legend Bootsy Collins.
Gary Keane and his band partner, Eoin Walsh, form the duo ‘White Boys’ and after posting an extra funked-up version ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ they got a reaction from the ex-James Brown band bassist.
The song, made famous by Frank Sinatra, piqued Bootsy’s interest when Gary sent it to him recently and he responded on White Boys Facebook Page from his personal account saying:

Bootsy Collins is a giant of funk and one of the most well known faces and innovators still alive in modern American music today. His sound has influenced everyone from Stevie Wonder to Dr Dre.
