IT was some night out in Ballygarry House Hotel last night.
Around 650 tickets were sold and the huge crowd packed into the famous venue for an unforgettable night of dancing and fun, as Ballymacelligott GAA Club held their first ‘Strictly Love Dancing’ event.
The 12 couples were incredibly professional thanks to the expert training of Honor Hurley and it showed in the night.
Andrew Morrissey of Radio Kerry did a super job as MC, while the judges – Tim Moynihan of Radio Kerry, Anne O’Donnell from Siamsa Tire, Padraig McGillicuddy of Ballygarry House Hotel and dancing aficionado Josephine Fearns – really had their work cut out for them.
There was a public vote and a judges choice and this time they were of the same mind for the winners. Kayrena Bolger and Denis Cronin obviously impressed the most and they won both prizes.
A fantastic night then with a phenomenal amount of money raised for the club.
