The greenway will run along the coastline from Cockleshell Road to Spa village.
WORK on the Cockleshell Road to Spa Greenway is scheduled to begin in the last three months of 2022.
It’s believed workers will move from the Tralee-Fenit Greenway once it is completed at the end of September and begin construction on the 2.2km pathway which will link up with the Tralee Fenit Greenway at the Spa.
Land acquisition is ongoing and there will also be upgrade works at Spa village junction to create a Toucan crossing.

With regard to the Tralee-Fenit Greenway, the last section is currently being surfaced. The car park in Fenit is complete, rest/picnic areas and greenway signage is being finalised and it should be complete by the end of the month.
Meanwhile the 28km Tralee to Listowel Greenway is currently at Phase 2 – Option Selection stage. Phase 3 will consist of the design which is to be advanced in Q1/Q2, 2023. Statutory Consent will be sought in Q3, 2023.
