THE victorious Kerry senior footballers took time out of their busy schedule this morning to share their celebrations with children and staff alike in CHI at Temple Street.

Team members Joe O’Connor, Seán O’Shea and Gavin White brought the Sam Maguire cup to the hospital and took the time to get photographs outside the hospital’s famous blue door with staff and some delighted patients from the Kingdom.

All infection prevention and control guidelines were followed for this special visit. Scroll down for photos…

PERFECT timing.

The rain arrived in Croke Park right on full-time to cool down the many thousands of Kerry fans who were roasted in glorious sunshine all afternoon.

Nobody cared about the rain though, as a tumultuous roar of elation and relief resounded around the stadium to hail Kerry bridging an eight year gap between championship successes.

Most fans stayed on for the presentation of the cup and by then — with the majority of Galway departed — it was clear to see that there was an enormous Kerry support present in the stands and on the Hill.

After all the media commitments were complete, the players paraded around the stadium to display Sam to the loyal fans.

There were many lovely moments in the aftermath, but one was when Tralee man Dermot Healy, who is Principal of Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine caught the eye of Sean O’Shea with the cup.

Sean quickly gathered the Templenoe and Kenmare players, all former pupils of the Kenmare school, to pose for a photo for, and with, Dermot.

As always on All-Ireland final day, the atmosphere was incredible around the city and we captured some images of the fans at The Gresham, The Palace Bar, on the streets and in Croker. Scroll down for photos…
