Here’s The Kerry Team To Face Monaghan On Sunday

WHILE things didn’t go according to plan last Sunday, Kerry have a chance to get some points  on the board when they play a home game this weekend against more Ulster opposition.

They will welcome Monaghan to Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday for Round 2 of the Allianz National League Division 1 with a throw-in time set for 1.30pm.

Jack O’Connor has opted for a couple of changes to the side that lost in Ballybofey last week. In comes Pa Warren into the half back line in place of Mike Breen while Donal O’Sullivan replaces Killian Spillane in the  forward line.

Tralee involvement comes in the shape of Jack Barry starting in midfield, while Stefan Okunbor of Na Gaeil and the Austin Stacks trio of Jack O’Shea, Dylan Casey and Greg Horan are on the bench alongside Joe Linehan of Churchill.

Vivienne Prepares For Student Chef Of The Year Competition

A MUNSTER Technological University student from Kilmoyley is set to cook-up a storm at a Student Chef of the Year 2023 competition.

Vivienne Dineen is taking part in the Knorr Professional Student Chef of the Year competition on Thursday, February 9.

The second year Food Business Innovation student is one of ten student chefs from culinary colleges around the country who will battle it out in the kitchen to win the highly regarded title.

This is a particularly significant year for competition as it celebrates its 25th anniversary and when it takes place at Dundalk Institute of Technology.

Vivienne and the other student chefs will be hoping to impress the expert judging panel with their culinary creativity and skills.

They are challenged with preparing and cooking two dishes based on this year’s theme, “Classic dishes with a modern make-over”. The students will be judged on their chefmanship, creativity and presentation of their dishes.

As well as studying, Vivienne also works in the kitchen at Ballyseede Castle as part of the pastry team.

Kerry Ladies Team To Face Donegal On Saturday Announced

.

AFTER a great start to the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 1 season, Kerry have a home tie against Armagh to look forward to on Saturday.

They’ve won their first two away games against Waterford and Mayo so it’s on to Austin Stack Park on Saturday afternoon for Round 3 against Donegal. There’s a 12 noon throw in for this game and tickets can be bought by clicking here. Under 16s admitted free of charge.

The Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys Under 12 teams will also be playing an exhibition game at half time.
