IF you feel like putting on some leg warmers and making your hair look odd on Friday night, then The Barge pub is the place to be.
The bar, adjacent to Hennessy’s ,on Castle Street will be hosting an 80s night in aid of the Tralee Community First Responders. The vital service is encouraging people to dress to excess – as was the case with everything in that decade – at the bar from 9pm until late to raise funds for equipment for the group.
The group was founded in October 2015 andis a voluntary organisation which will provide a 24/7 team of trained responders to assist the National Ambulance Service. to attend to emergencies within 6km of the town. There are 36 members signed up and training will commence shortly.
Tickets for the night at €5 are on sale from committee members or on the door on Friday night.
