Kerry U20 hurlers in the All Ireland ‘B’ Final:
On Tralee Parnells Social Media coming up to the weekend, we wished best of luck to the Kerry U20 hurlers in the All Ireland ‘B’ Final Saturday.
Parnells were well represented with Tadhg Brick starting full back, Ruarí O Sullivan on the match day panel and Darragh Reen, Cathal Dunne and Brian Lonergan on the extended panel.
After there fantastic win Tralee Parnells are very proud of Tadhg Brick who had a great game at full back and the four other lads on the panel, all of them underage again for U20s next year.

Camogie Trip by Ferry:
Two Tralee Parnells Camogie squads traveled by ferry Friday night to meet Kilkee/Bealaha Hurling-Camogie Club teams in Kilrush. Many thanks to the hosts for two  sporting and competitive games and great hospitality. Thanks to Niamh of Kilkee/Bealaha Hurling-Camogie Club for the team photos posted online. Our under 14 and junior teams enjoyed the matches and hope you can make a return visit to Tralee this year

Minor Hurlers:
Our minor hurlers who take on Kilmoyley/Causeway Tuesday evening at 7 pm in Kilmoyley in the minor Championship.  Our lads battled bravely including the under 16 and 15 players of the squad, but while they took some good scores, overall they did not have enough for the home side who ran up a good lead in the first quarter that they never relinquished.  It’s been a difficult year for this team due to small panel size key players not available and training problems.  But on the night they gave a very honest account if themselves last night and showed a real commitment to the club.

Kerry U16 Camogie:
Proud of Tralee Parnells” Katie Dwyer, Saoirse Maloney & Saorlaith Moore, part of the Kerry team progressing to the All-Ireland U16C Camogie Championship Semi-finals, Sun Aug 11, details to follow when known.

Under 13 Boys:
U13s had a great win in NK Championship vs Ballyheigue in Caherslee Tuesday evening on a score of 1-7 0-3. Conditions couldn’t have been more different from their last outing, which allowed for an open game of hurling. After a slow start, the boys got into their stride and opened up a 6 point lead at halftime. Though they spurned quite a few scoring opportunities in 2nd half, the defence held firm and restricted Ballyheigue to a single point. Great team result, particularly given we were missing a few regulars. Next up Lixnaw on Friday week.

Under 11 Boys:
Parnells (blues) U11s qualified for the South Kerry League Finals phase Thursday evening in Group 1 at Kenmare . They had wins over Kilgarvan and the home side Kenmare. We were due to play Dr Crokes but unfortunately they weren’t able to travel. The boys played well throughout and connected well from the backs trough midfield to get some classy scores from play. Everyone gave their all for Parnells and their improvement this year so far was there for all to see. We field a 2nd U11 team (whites) next Thursday in Group 2 of the same competition.

Under 6s:
A mighty performance from our Under 6 boys and girls Friday night in the I.T Tralee against Ballyheigue, Kilmoyley and St Brendan’s.  Well done to our Under 6 player of the week, Leo Fitzgibbon

Under 10s Thank You:
Our U10 teams thanked Majella O’Connell and O’Connells Pharmacy for sponsoring their first aid bags!
