THERE is huge excitement amongst the team at Ballygarry House this week as the doors have opened to Restaurant 58, the newest addition to the four-star property.

The name is derived from its origins in 1958 when the hotel first opened. Development began in late September on the former hotel restaurant, Brooks. The €1.5 million-euro build is the final stage of a five-year plan.

The opening of Restaurant 58 has seen an increase of 40% in seating capacity which extends out onto the courtyard area of the hotel, overlooking the beautiful setting of the country house venue.

The development also involved the expansion of the hotel’s kitchen which has now tripled in size with a new ‘state of the art’ Brasserie & Restaurant kitchen that supports a team of eighteen chefs.

“The design team, contractors and sub-contractors have worked weekends, late nights and days off to have Restaurant 58 and the new kitchens open. I am thrilled with the finish which they have completed and look forward to welcoming locals and hotel guests alike”.

Restaurant 58 is opened 7 days a week and is described as the perfect occasion dining venue, classical in style with a contemporary twist, the intimate booths, warm wood panelling and mahogany flooring all coupled with bespoke touches such as coiffured ceilings create an inviting space for an occasion dining experience.
