INTER-COUNTY : Niall O’Mahoney, Michael O’Leary, Jamesie O’Connor and Michael Slattery all lined out for Kerry in the final Munster Hurling League game against Tipperary last Saturday afternoon in Nenagh. Tipperary ran out comprehensive winners on a scoreline of : Tipperary 4-20 Kerry 1-14. Net up for the Kerry hurlers will be an opening National League game away to Antrim in Cushendall, on Saturday, 26th January.

SOCIAL TICKETS : will be on sale this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night in The Complex from 8.00pm-9.00pm. Cost : €25. The social will be held on Saturday, January 19th in Ballyroe Heights Hotel.

CHARITY GAME : Abbeydorney defeated Crotta by 2-09 to 2-08 in the Over 40s Charity Hurling and Football game played on St. Stephens’ Day in Dromakee, Crotta.

It was a highly entertaining game overall with the teams playing hurling in the first half followed by a game of football in the second half.

Well done to all the players who togged out and also to the supporters who showed up in large numbers. Referee on the day was the reputable ballyduff man, John Ross.

The game raised €1704 for charity, with proceeds going to Kerry Palliative Care and Recovery Haven. Huge credit to the organisers, Brendan O’Mahoney, Sean Lynch and Tony Maunsell.

POST-PRIMARY : Best of luck to club players : Shane Donovan, Shane Byrne, Jamie Herbert, Jack Parker and Oisin Maunsell who are part of the Causeway Comprehensive School team that will play Ballincollig Community School in the quarter-final of the Munster Post Primary U19 C competition this Wednesday 9th January in Rathbane, Limerick.
