ALWAYS a good sign Christmas is almost here is the St John’s annual bazaar which takes place  early next month.

The bazaar, which commences Friday, December 4 and runs until Sunday, December 6, in the KDYS Denny Street, is a vital funds generator for the parish and has been running now for 64 years.

The big prize this year is a hamper that includes two All-Ireland Final tickets for 2016 and a Kerry jersey signed by the senior team.

Each night there will be a door prize, Friday (hoover), Saturday (washing machine) and Sunday (microwave).

Not only is the St John’s parish responsible for the upkeep of the main church in town, it also takes care of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rathass and Curraheen Church.

Over the three days, hampers and goods which have been kindly donated by local businesses and the public will be auctioned off at the KDYS.

The times for the bazaar are…

Friday  7:30pm – 11pm
Saturday 7pm – 10pm
Sunday 2:30pm – 6-30pm
