Rose of Tralee 2019, Sinead Flanagan, the Limerick Rose.

WE have a winner!

Sinead Flanagan, the Limerick Rose, was announced as Rose of Tralee 2019 live on the Dome stage tonight. The shocked 27 year old was surrounded by fellow Roses after Daithi Ó Sé announced her name.

This is the third time Limerick has won after Diane Hannegan in 1984 and Muirne Hurley in 1994.

She grew up in Mungret and now lives in Adare. After qualifying as a Physiotherapist at UL, she studied Medicine in UCC and graduated in 2018.

She is currently working as a junior doctor in Cork. She’s an avid supporter of Limerick hurling and her house is also a stronghold of support for Roscommon football as her dad is a proud Roscommon man.

In 2017, she spent a month volunteering in rural Ghana, at The Methodist Faith Healing Hospital in Ankaase.

She regularly attends spinning or Pilates classes, loves  to travel and the summer breaks during college have allowed her to explore many countries.
