LEGENDARY Irish bands, Aslan and Hothouse Flowers will perform at free concerts during the Rose of Tralee International Festival this August.
The Aslan gig will form the centrepiece of a 60th Anniversary Party on Denny Street on Sunday, August 25 along with a Celebration Street Disco featuring hits from the six decades of Ireland’s best family fun festival.
The Hot House Flowers, another legendary Irish group, will perform at a free gig on Denny Street on the opening night of the Festival, Friday, August 23 and Country star, Derek Ryan, will play for free on the closing night of the festival, Tuesday, August 27.

Details of this year’s street entertainment, which will cost in the region of €350,000, were announced at a breakfast event at The Rose Hotel, attended by the Rose of Tralee, Kirsten Mate Maher, and many long-standing local sponsors and supporters of the Festival.
The Rose of Tralee International Festival harnesses the pride and the strength of the global Irish family and Tralee will again become the theatre for their celebration this August with three parades, two fireworks displays, live music, street performers, marching bands, floats, markets, Birds Funfair and much more.
