PEIL FAOI 6: (i) We’ll have UNDER 6 football again next Sunday in Caherslee. (ii) Thursday night football for the Under 6-ers has finished for this season. (iii) The Jimmy Barry Cup competition will be played shortly.

THURSDAY FOOTBALL: We’ll have no….no….no football (for any age group) on Thursdays….’til the spring…tá dúluachair na bliana romhainn!

LEIGIÚNAIGH V STACAIGH: We’ll welcome the Killarney Legion Club to Connolly Park on Sunday week, October 15th. Brilliant football is expected…peil den scoth, gan aon agó! Beidh fáilte mhór roimh Na Léigiúnaigh!

SIOBHÁN COTTER TOURNAMENT: Next Sunday, we’ll travel to Churchill for the Siobhán Cotter Tournament and our UNDER 7, UNDER 8, UNDER 9 and UNDER 10 boys will play against the Churchill, the Ballymac and the John Mitchel Clubs. An outing to be enjoyed! Agus cuimhnímis ar Shiobhán!

CANTY CUP: Our UNDER 9 boys are still celebrating their great victory in the Canty Cup competition at the St Finbarr Club, Cork!

JOHN MITCHEL CLUB TOURNAMENT: The Under 8 boys are still rejoicing after their great day out at John Mitchel Club Tournament.

BRACKER O’REGAN CUP: ‘Austin Stacks’, ‘Rockies’, ‘Rock St’ and ‘Black & Amber’ continue to battle for supremacy in the Bracker O’Regan Cup competition. Sunday 22nd is the provisional day/date for finals. Excitement mounts as D-Day approaches…..lá na cinniúna!

UNDER 10: (i) The U10 training sessions continue on Sunday at 11pm in Caherslee. (ii) The John Lynch U10 Football Tournament will take place (10am~2.30pm) in Connolly Park on Sunday October 29th. Táimid uile ag tnúth go mór leis an tournament iontach seo.

PEIL FAOI 12: Our Under 12 boys are still reminiscing on their successful trip to the Vincent Walsh Under 12 Tournament at the Templeogue/Synge St Club.

UNDER 15 HURLING: The Gary Scollard Memorial Shield Final was played at Connolly Park between Tralee Parnells and Kenmare/Kilgarvan on Saturday last, with victory going to Tralee Parnells (3-8 to 1-1). Congrats to The Rock boys on the panel. The Shield was presented by Ger Scollard to Jonathan Lowe, captain of Tralee Parnells. Jonathan’s father, Martin, played hurling with our club a good few years ago! Briseann an dúchas trí shúile an chait!

PEIL FAOI 13: The draw for the Tralee Town Board Under 13 Football Championship took place on Wednesday 4th. Our lads’ first game will be on Sunday next (8th).

PEIL FAOI 16: A ‘Suits Select’ Under 16 Town League game was played between our boys and Ardfert (6pm) in Connolly Park on Thursday(5th).

SCÓR na nÓG: Club members under the age of 17 years (on January 1st 2018) and who are interested in participating in the Tralee Area Scór na nÓg competitions should get working on same! Competitions: figure dancing, solo singing, recitation/story, instrumental music group of 5, ballad group of 5 singers, set dancing, sketch and table quiz team of 4. Please make contact with club.

THE CLARE CHALLENGE – FAOI 7/8: On Saturday last, the Lios Uí Chathasaigh Club from across the Shannon visited us and we had great matches for the UNDER 7 and UNDER 8 young stars. The football played was outstanding….skill, tenacity and sportsmanship of the highest quality! See photos by Adrienne McLoughlin below….
