ACADAMH na nÓG: Mighty U6 and U8 football last Sunday morning! Very promising players with talent to burn! And our 2018 football activity is in good hands! The Sunday morning groupings will continue as follows:

(i) Under 6 Boys (born 2012/13) at 11am at the Mounthawk Gym. William Kirby, Keith McKensie, Johnathon Magnier, Brendan Smith and Wayne Quillinan were delighted with their morning’s work.

(ii) Under 8 Boys (born 2011/2010) at 12.00 at the Mounthawk Gym. Pa Laide, Mike Lynch, Micko Horan and Pat O’Dowd were over the moon with the talent on display. ‘We’ve fantastic players,’ they said after a brilliant session.

(iii) Under 10 Boys (born 2008/2009) at 11 am at the The Green (CBS) Astroturf Pitch. Sadly, we had no U10 football last Sunday due to the inclement weather. Ger Power, Brian Shanahan, Dex Carmody, Laurence Cotter and Kieran O’Callaghan have decided that the training will take place indoors next Sunday if it’s wet outside.

PEIL FAOI 12: Under 12 football training in Na Cruaghoirt, Connolly Park, went well last Sunday. Training will take place again at 3pm on Sunday next. Fáilte roimh an domhan is a mháthair – newcomers most welcome.

PEIL FAOI 14: (i) The U14s started back on Sunday last and, even with a lot of players missing due to other commitments, we had 16 hardy souls who braved the inclement weather. ‘It was great to see a fine turnout for our first training session and we’re all looking forward to another great year and to the exciting challenges ahead!’ said a delighted Edward O’Connor. Work began on a new S & C Programme which will help to improve overall fitness and movement; this programme is also designed to aid injury prevention.

(ii) We will be taking part in the annual Mick O’Brien Tournament, which is being hosted by Nemo Rangers, on Saturday 3rd February….first big trip of the year. This will be a good chance for our boys to shake off the cobwebs. Details will follow. An Charraig Abú!
