ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS: There will be a celebration in the Clubhouse on next Saturday evening (9th Nov) commencing at 8.30pm for two winning football teams of the past – our Seniors who are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Co. Championship win in 1994 and our Minors who won their first Co. Championship title some fifty years ago (1969).

Every effort is being made by our Organising Sub-Committee under the guidance of Eddie Barrett and Jim Naughton to contact the 32 Senior players and the 22 Minors (including the families of the players who sadly are no longer with us) who were part of those two panels.

So in case we fail to contact everybody this is also an official invitation to all the following players (and family reps in the case of deceased members and also those players who are unable to attend) to come along on the night for what should be a lovely get-together – Senior Panel – Michael Hussey, Liam Liddy, Jerry Fitzmaurice, Pat Slattery, John Galvin (RIP), Kieran Browne, Malachy Nagle, Cormac Kennedy, Pa Laide, Gerry Lynch, Darren Aherne, Denis Sayers, Owen Moynihan, Martin McKivergan, Donal McEvoy, John Barry, John Walsh, Kevin Barry, John Browne, Eddie Dowling, Barry Masterson, Billy O’Lehan, Brian Shanahan, Cathal Naughton, Danny McCannon, Don Shanahan, Ger Teahon, Hugh O’Donnell, John Harrington, Liam O’Carroll, Michael McKenna and Pat Costello. – Minor Panel – Joe Parker, John Crean, John Joe Naughton (RIP), Breannáin Mangan, Ger O’Keeffe, Noel Kelter, Eddie O’Connor, John O’Keeffe (Capt), Pat Dowling, Michael Sugrue, Ger Power, Tommy Kennington, Terry McSweeney, Ciarán Sugrue, Fergus Dillon, Timmy Clifford, Niall Murphy, Tony O’Keeffe, Ger MacNamara, George Dineen, Pat McElligott and Rory McSweeney (RIP).

Then on the following day, in Austin Stack Park, all our 1994 Senior Panel will be officially honoured by the Kerry Co. Board during half-time in the SF Co. Championship final.

SENIOR FOOTBALL: With Crokes going through to next Sunday’s Co. Final we must still keep ourselves prepared for the possibility of representing Kerry in the Munster Club Championship should East Kerry win that contest. In the meantime our last round of the Co. League, away to St. Marys, has been brought forward to this Saturday (9th Nov). The game in Cahersiveen throws in at 3pm. Rathmore, who have completed their eleven rounds, top the table on 17 points while ourselves, Crokes, and Dingle (all three are on 14 points) will be battling it out to join Rathmore in the C. League Final.
