DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING: Anyone interested in Defibrillator Training is asked to send their details to Secretary.austinstacks.kerry@gaa.ie. The Club is organising a course in association with Tralee Red Cross commencing with an online theory session followed by practical training once restrictions are lifted.

The Austin Stacks GAA Club Defibrillator is located on the wall at the bottom of the Stairs in the main gym building in Connolly Park.

GAME TIME: As we write we still await confirmation from our own Co. Board as to how the Club season will be managed but we do understand that the Co. League will go ahead from mid May to the end of August with the Co. Championships commencing in September following the conclusion of inter-county activity.

LIDL SERIOUS SUPPORT: Thanks to everyone who supported the club during the recent Lidl ‘Serious Support’ Promotion. We were successful in earning enough reward points to secure a new Lidl Sponsored Jersey set for our Juvenile Academy.

APRIL IN THE PAST: (27th to 30th). On the field of play the last few days in April 2019 saw our Senior Footballers having  six points to spare over Dr. Crokes (1-21 to 1-15) in Austin Stack Park to capture our 4th Club Championship title. Our only goal in the game came from a well-taken penalty by Darragh O’Brien in added time in the first half after a foul on Kieran Donaghy which put us a point ahead at the break (1-9 to 1-8). We kept up the pace during the second half outscoring the Killarney boys again by twelve points to seven.

Team: Robbie Murphy, Colin Griffin, Barry Shanahan, Jack O’Shea, Ciarán O’Reilly, Ronan Shanahan (0-1), Jack Morgan, Wayne Guthrie, Joseph O’Connor, Greg Horan (0-2), Darragh O’Brien (1-3 – one penalty goal, two frees), Fiachna Mangan (0-1), Seán Quilter (0-7 – three frees), Kieran Donaghy (0-2), Shane O’Callaghan (0-2). Subs used: Conor Jordan (0-1), Michael O’Gara, Ferdia O’Brien (0-1), Shane Carroll (0-1), Brandon Patterson – a really good, all-round performance with ten players getting on the score sheet, including three of the five substitutes used.
