DUL FAOI LÁIMH EASPAIG: Congrats to all our players who received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Gura fada ina gCríostaithe maithe iad!

SCÓR: (i) ‘Well done’ to the young musician who represented The Rock at Scór na bPáistí an tseachtain seo caite. Sorcha de Brochtún (Broughton) represented our club agus sheinn sí an consairtín. Well done, Sarah! Her brother, Mícheál, also took part in Scór na bPáistí. ‘Well done’ also to Aoife Ní Choileáin who tutored and encouraged our contestant. A really wonderful night’s entertainment, namely Scór na bPáistí, took place i nGaelscoil Mhic Easmainn, Ráth Rónáin. Thecounty final of Scór na bPáistí (for primary school competitors) will be held on Saturday 23rd March and will certainly be a very enjoyable evening of music, song, dance, story and quiz. Why not go along?

(ii) The other good news is that our club will shortly be (once again!) represented in Senior Scór by Aoife Ní Choileáin. Mo cheol thú, a Aoife! The date for the Tralee area (1st round) have yet to be announced. The county final of Scór na Sinsear will take place on Friday 22nd March. Our Oifigeach Cultúir is Carmel Quilter-O’Neill. (iii) Scór na nÓg (U17) will take place later in the year.

UNDER 15: (i) We had two brilliant training sessions in the week just gone. Tuesday night….on the Astroturf (outdoor area) up in the MTU. Friday….an indoor gym session.

(ii) On Monday evening (4th), we played a challenge match in Ballyseedy v the John Mitchel Club boys. This game proved to be a good test and an excellent workout before the competition season kicks off; our lads did themselves justice. Well done, all!

(iii) Keep watching for group messages as training sessions move…time and days, etc, can change…due to the availability or non-availability of facilities. Also, lads, let’s get stuck in, at home, on the core skills on which we have been working during the sessions we have been doing in the gym!

(iv) Our U15s have been drawn in Group 1A of the County League. They are looking forward to facing Keel/Listry, Kilcummin, Laune Rangers and Na Gaeil. Mouth-watering games ahead…dúshláin mhóra romhainn amach..our boys will be ready!! (Ger Hobbert)
