THE ALL-STARS: The Rock All-Stars and their team of coaches had another brilliant morning in Connolly Park last Sunday. Everyone will be in attendance again next Sunday at 11am.

Venue: the Austin Stack Club in Connolly Park…a great hour of activities and football fun in a safe space for any child with a diagnosis. How lovely to see the youngsters taking part in social games and enjoying and learning basic football skills. An-fháilte roimh gach éinne. he Austin Stack Club UNDER 7 lads who hosted Na Gaeil in Páirc Uí Chonghaile ar an Domhnach seo caite.

PEIL FAOI 7 (born 2015/16/17): Football again on Sunday morning and on Thursday evening i bPáirc Uí Chonghaile. Mighty football expected! Our young stars played v Na Gaeil on Sunday morning (11am) last in Connolly Park. Great football was played and both teams had an enjoyable outing. Other teams to be faced: The Blues (K-o’R) and The Greens (Legion). Our lads are ready for any challenge!

PEIL FAOI 9: (i) We’ll have U9 football action at 11am next Sunday morning as usual. More fine football is expected…gan dabht! (ii) We look forward to travelling to Cork for the St Finbarr Club Tournament….always an exciting trip….lots of good football to be played. Keep up the hard work at our games/matches/training, lads, and everybody will be in tip-top condition and ready for the challenges ahead!!

PEIL FAOI 11: These fine U11 Rock footballers had a very enjoyable visit to the green pastures of Milltown last week and great football was played by all. More good football this week! Up The Rock!

PEIL FAOI 13 – CENTRAL LEAGUE: (i) Our Team Amber (Division 1B) lads await results of other games to see if they’ll qualify for the semi-final of the Central League. Fingers crossed! (ii) We’ll have training as usual on Tuesday and on Thursday. If we qualify for the semi-final we’ll need to be at our very best!

While results didn’t go our way, the experience of playing in this important competition will certainly stand to our lads. CAID FAOI 14: We are eagerly looking forward to the Lee Strand Football Tournament which will take place on Saturday next, September 3rd. 12 clubs (5 from Kerry and 7 from other counties) will take part in this year’s UNDER 14 tournament in our club grounds in Connolly Park. Teams will play their hearts out for the Denis O’Connor Cup, the Billy Breen Memorial Shield and the Abie Allen Plate. The all-on-the-same-day tournament will commence at 10.30am on Saturday, will continue throughout the day and le grand finale, the Cup Final, will take place at 6pm. We are delighted that Lee Strand is sponsoring the tournament once again (thosaigh an comórtas i 1986) and we wish to thank Gearóid Linnane, Teresa Walker and the team at Lee Strand for their great support for our club and for pobal na Carraige. So, stroll along on Saturday to a veritable feast of fabulous football. PEIL FAOI 15 – CEANTAR THRÁ LÍ: The Tralee District U15 footballers, having defeated North Kerry, West Kerry (Corca Dhuibhne) and Bordcheantar Neidín (Kenmare District), faced a dangerous East Kerry team in the county championship semi-final on Wednesday (24th) at the John Mitchel Club and had an excellent 0-3 victory in this very prestigious competition. Na scóranna….Tralee District: 2-11; East Kerry: 0-14. Bua iontach! These Tralee stars play v Castleisland District in the final this Wednesday (31st) in Austin Stack PARK. Throw-in time is 8pm. This could be a tough game and, so, all support for the town lads is important! These dedicated players deserve good support!

PEIL FAOI 15 – AN CLUB: The U15 Central Region League games are on hold until the District/Divisional Area Championship is finished. Our club’s Division 1 team will play v Killorglin in their Central Region League final and our club’s Division 5 lads will take on Ballymac in their final.

THE PARISH RULE: The Kerry County Board is asking for your views on the ‘Parish Rule.’ Cad é sin? Who can play for the club and who can’t? Is your child with the right club?
