SCÓR na nÓG: Who’s going to represent the Black’n’Amber in song, in story, in dance or in tráth na gceist(eanna)! Have we a solo singer? Have we four lads to try the table quiz? (The girls’ section and the hurling section could do the same….we could enter three singers, etc!) Why not have a go!

Ná cuir leas do chlub ar cairde! Competitions: Singing (one song), Quiz, Recitation or Story, Ballad Group (2 songs with harmony), Music Group (two tunes), Léiriú (Sketch), Figure Dance and Set Dance. Rules on kerrygaa.ie. The Kerry finals of Scór na nÓg are scheduled for Saturday 19th March.

PEIL FAOI 7 (born 2015/16/17): Our 6th Under 7 football session will take place at 11.00am on Sunday next (27th) in the CBS PRIMARY School i gCluain na Lobhar. Last Sunday’s session was enjoyed by all. Mentors: Éamonn Ó Scannláin, William Kirby, Mickey Collins, Tom Tansley, Kevin O’Leary, Séamus Smith, Amy Lucid, Jonathan Magnier, Richard Long, Tommy Griffin, Seán Quilter and Dara Ó Lúing. Fáilte mhór roimh dhaoine nua.

PEIL FAOI 9 (born 2013/14): The Under 9 boys will have their sixth session of 2022 on The Green CBS Astroturf pitch at 10.00am…please note TIME…on Sunday next (27th). There are very stylish footballers in this U9 group! Their tutors, Mickey Collins Mike Lynch, Tim McMahon, TJ Hogan, Kevin Counihan, Finbar Canty, Brendan Smith and David Lucid, are happy with the boys’ progress.

PEIL FAOI 11 (born 2011/12): (i) The Under 11 boys will again train at 11.00am on the Astroturf at The Green CBS on Sunday next. (We’ll be there for the next few weeks). Brilliant football was played last week! We hope to see more of the same on Sunday next at 11.00am! (ii) Games for which we are preparing: County League….(a) Round 1 on April 14th….(b) Phase 2 on June 2nd. Bainisteoirí: Wayne Quillinan, Colm Mangan, Miko Horan, Kenneth Cronin, Pat Carmody agus Gearóid Ó Tíocháin.

LÁ ‘LE PÁDRAIG: After a two year absence, the Black’n’Amber legion will vamp the streets of Tralee in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. We’ve three weeks to prepare! Let’s get the costumes ready! Dóchas linn, Naomh Pádraig!

PEIL FAOI 13: (i) We’ll have another U13 session on Friday next (25th February) between 6pm and 7pm in the KSA (Kerry Sports Academy) Hall at Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta na Mumhan (MTU). Be ready, boys, for occasional outdoor sessions. Bainisteoirí: Pa Laide, Dan Aherne, Eoghan Ó Gealbháin, Martin Courtney, Ger Hobbert, David Scanlon and Jack Ó Muireagáin. New players welcome….fáilte is céad roimh pheileadóirí nua! (ii) The Tralee Town Board is due to commence U13 football activities on Sunday March 6th for a period of 3 weeks and that will have us well prepared for our County League matches. Please ensure, boys, that you have paid your membership fee prior to the commencement of competitions. (iii) (a) Round 1 of our County League will take place on March 27th. Fixtures: Division 2 (15-a-side) teams….AdeS A, An Ghaeltacht, Ballymacelligot, Kilcummin, Legion, Na Gaeil. Division 10 (11/13/15-a-side) teams….AdeS B, An Ghaeltacht B, Ballymacelligot B, Kilcummin B, Legion C, Na Gaeil B. (b) Phase 2 will be played on 22nd May.

PEIL FAOI 15: (i) Training will take place on Sunday next (27th) in the Bishop’s Field from 2.30pm to 4pm. Training will also be held on the MTU Astroturf from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday (24th). Other weekday sessions vary….depending on the availability of pitches. It is expected that our interclub games will be played on Wednesdays. (iii) Our County League matches will take place from 30th March (round 1) to 27th April. Division 1A (15-a-side) teams….AdeS, An Ghaeltacht, Glenflesk, Na Mistéalaigh, An Léigiún, An Spá (Cill Airne). Division 9 (11/13/15-a-side) teams…AdeS B, Firies B, Kilcummin B, Legion B, Listowel Emmets B. The semi-finals will take place on 4th or 11th May and the finals will be on 11th or 18th May. (iv)The Central Region games are expected to be from 22nd June to 20th July. (v) The County Championship dates have yet to be fixed. (vi) Our U15 lads who are holders of Corn an Earraig: Oliver Lata, Rian Walsh, Max Nosidlak, Tomás Ó Conaill, Liam Ó Conaill, Alex Touhy, Gabriel Nosidlak, Ben Murphy, Gavin Ó Cathasaigh (captaen), Leon Ó Conchúir, Ronan Carroll, Naoude Derege (0-1), Jack Shanahan, Cormac Bastible, Jake Carmody, Seán Clifford, Eoghan Murphy, Brian Kavanagh, Adam Johnston, Ruairí Ó Loingsigh, Jayden Moriarty, Jack Ó Duigín, Tadhg Falvey, Paddy Lucid, Rory Kavanagh, Denis Griffin, Ryan O’Driscoll. PEIL FAOI 17: (i) Minor Training: Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm. (ii) We’ll have a gym session on Monday next at 6pm. (iii) (a) Last week’s game v Ballymac was called off….uisce ar an bpáirc. (b) We’ll travel away for our first round of the 2022 County League. The game v Keel/Listry will take place at 4pm on Saturday next.
