BALLYSEEDY Home and Garden Centre is hiring.
The garden centre industry has experienced a revival as a result of the pandemic with people investing more time and energy in their home and gardens.
As well as gardening, there has been a boom in indoor plants as people look to bring nature into their homes. Numerous studies have shown that indoor plants boost mood, reduce stress, and clean the air by absorbing toxins.
“People definitely have a much greater appreciation for their home and gardens since the pandemic began” said Nathan McDonnell, co-owner at Ballyseedy with his mother Bernie Falvey. “We have invested a lot in our garden centre stock with some stunning indoor and outdoor plants and we’re seeing a lot of new faces through the doors” added Nathan.

• Retail Manager – full time, salary negotiable based on experience
This is an exciting opportunity in an industry that is growing. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Retail Manager that can manage and lead colleagues to deliver an exceptional retail experience for our customers.
Some knowledge of plants (indoor and outdoor) is useful but not a requirement as the successful candidates will be trained in all areas of plant merchandising. Main duties:
— Lead, motivate and train your colleagues.
— Guiding and developing your team to deliver top customer service.
— Managing stock and point of sale systems.
— Ensure the best possible presentation and merchandising of the store at all times.
— Ensure that health and safety and highest standards of cleanliness are upheld at all times.
