CBS Primary in Tralee is looking forward to holding an event which will help towards funding a new astro-turf facility at the school.

‘Who Wants to be a Thousandaire’  will take place on Friday, March 20, in the Ballyroe Heights Hotel where a fun and thrilling night is promised along with a chance to win a thousand euro each for eight lucky contestants picked randomly from the audience.

“The money raised will benefit our students giving them the best facilities by providing them with a generous all weather Astro Turf playing area and all proceeds will go directly to this facility,” said Principal of CBS, Denis Coleman.

The launch of the event took place on Tuesday night in the Ashe Hotel by well known sports star, Ciara Griffin captain of the Irish rugby team, who is also a teacher in the school.

Those who attended the launch had a sneak preview of the show and a small taste of what the night has to offer.

“We are astounded with the fantastic response from all of the local companies who have come on board as exhibitors and advertisers. You will find their details on our Facebook page where we will be promoting them and they will remain on our directory of services for the long term,” said Denis.

“It’s important for us to give back to the community that are supporting us and be mindful to shop local. All sponsors will avail of on screen advertising the night of the show and will be promoted strongly by us on the night and onwards,” he added.

Tickets will be available to purchase from the CBS Primary School. They are expected to sell out in advance, so the advice is to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment as they won’t be available on the night.

The school is also reaching out to local companies, businesses and/or past pupils who wish to support the event. They can get in contact with the school on cbsprimary1000aire@gmail.com or on the school’s direct line 0877634877.
