CBS The Green First Year students who took part in the ‘Keep The Green Air Clean’ initiative.
FIRST year students at CBS The Green took part in a travel challenge which saw them walking /cycling/carpooling to school to help ‘Keep the Green’s Air Clean’.
This initiative organised by Ms C Kelliher is part of the school’s attempt to secure the fourth Green Flag from An Taisce.
This year the theme is Travel and 60 per cent of 1st year students participated in the travel challenge for one week in December.
Students were encouraged to walk/ cycle /carpool to school in order to reduce harmful chemicals emitted from cars.
Students embraced this challenge and enjoyed the experience of making one small change to help the school’s environment. A similar travel challenge will take place in the Spring 2017.
