CBS The Green Welcomes Future Students At Orientation Days

Fifth and Sixth Year students showed next year’s first years around the school on Saturday for an orientation day.

FUTURE First Year students were welcomed to CBS The Green on Saturday so they could have a proper look at their new surroundings before September.

Usually, such students would be afforded a certain familiarity and inclusion through open nights, but sadly, such events could not take place earlier this year.

However, thanks to Year Head Karen Tobin and some fifth and sixth year students, the school opened its doors again and gave incoming students a chance to see their new building and ask vital questions to ease the big transition.

Time slots were arranged with small tour groups made up of five students. Tours commenced at 9am and finished at 12.30pm.

The tours — which are also running over the next two Saturdays — have proven to be a great success and all at CBS are hopeful this initiative will help to alleviate any initial anxieties that may exist prior to commencement in September.
