A TRALEE-BASED businessman is among the finalists in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Ireland programme.

The 25 finalists in the programme have been revealed today and among them is John T O’Sullivan, the CEO and founder of BioAtlantis.

John T. O’Sullivan is a former operations manager of Kerry Ingredients and set up BioAtlantis in 2004.

The Clash-based biomarine company provides natural compounds, extracted from renewable marine and terrestrial resources, to reduce stress in crops, animals and humans by strengthening natural defence systems.

The finalists from across the island of Ireland will compete across three categories – Emerging, Established and International – and one overall winner will be selected as The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2022 in November.   Mr O’Sullivan, a native of Renard, is a finalist in the International category.

This year for the first time, a new Sustainability Award will be presented to the finalist who is making the biggest contribution towards environmental sustainability through their business.

The 25 finalists have been shortlisted from more than 100 nominations by an independent judging panel of previous winners, including Kerry men Edmond Harty and Jerry Kennelly. For further information, visit www.eoy.ie
