LAST November CH Chemists held what was billed as an ‘Evening Of Style And Beauty’ all in aid of Recovery Haven cancer respite centre.

The efforts of the well known retailer in The Mall raised €1,500 for Recovery Haven. This was the fourth occasion the night was held in CH Chemists.

“The donation will go towards the upkeep of the house and the services that are being given by Recovery Haven,” said Maureen O’Brien of Reovery Haven.

“The night was fantastic. We were able to fit in over a 120 people upstairs in CH Chemists all seated which you would never think it would do,” said Maureen.

The ‘Evening Of Style And Beauty’ brought together the make-up expertise of Helen Lawlor Parker of the CH Lancome counter and Weardrobe’s Sandra Rusk for tips on the coming season.

Things were kept local with shoes provided by Dowlings and Walsh Brothers. From further afield, renowned stylist from Mayo, Maggie Gibbons was there to give style tips.

All involved are expecting and hoping the event will return for a fifth time later in the year.
