Our u13 team had a great win against St Pats on a wet Sunday evening in Blennerville.  We got off to a great start with a few early scores and managed to stay ahead throughout the game. Conor Brick was a steady influence in Goals and his kick outs launched many of our attacks.

Eddie, Eoghan, Donnacha, Ben and Adam held the St Pats forwards in check all evening while Tommy and Cian linked play well from midfield. Our forward line of the two Paddys, Darragh, Mark and Dylan played some wonderful flowing football.

U12s Harvey and Ruairi came on in the second half and ensured our tempo never dropped.  We eventually ran out winners by 5-20 to 2-6. Our next game is against Kerins O’Rahillys on Sunday July 24th at 6 O’Clock in Churchill. Players are to continue to train with their own age groups.

Churchill Academy

Our u8 team took part in the final leg of the St. Brendan’s League Go-Games in Ballyheigue on Tuesday night. Churchill competed very well in all games and everyone should be proud of their display of skill and commitment. The kid’s version of the Icelandic haka was also well appreciated to support the players on the field. Thanks to Ballyheigue for hosting the event.

Our U10 team will take part in their leg of the St. Brendan’s League Go-Games also in Ballyheigue this Tuesday at 7pm with kids to be present from 6:45.

Next weekend’s academy training of U6/U8/U10 will go ahead as normal at 11am.
