THE 135 Ukrainian women and children who were to be moved from Killarney to Westport this morning, to make way for 200 male asylum seekers, are to stay in alternative accommodation in the local area.

The Ukrainian refugees had been staying in Hotel Killarney since March. Minister for Education Norma Foley announced this morning that she has had discussions with Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman and she has been informed that they will be allowed to stay in the town.

“This is the right decision,” said Minister Foley. “I think it’s hugely important where we have families from Ukraine who were so well integrated into our community, that we afford them every opportunity to continue to grow and nurture those ties they have made with local communities.”

The Ukrainian refugees are what real refugees look like, mainly women and children and some older men.

They were being moved for economic migrants from North Africa who are mainly young fit men.

International refugees today are mostly illegal economic migrants and
Ireland and the EU need to control illegal immigration.

It is all well and good if the EU want economic migrants, all the EU has to do is regulate a new visa and integration system for them!
