KIERAN DONAGHY was announced as the GAA Munster club football player of the season for 2014 at an awards ceremony in Croke Park today.
The AIB #TheToughest club player awards were voted by the national, regional and GAA media. ‘The Star’ was selected based on his overall performance for Austin Stacks throughout the 2014/2015 season.
He can now add this honour, to his All-Ireland senior, club county and Munster medals, plus an All-Star selection.
Donaghy has been the focal point for Austin Stacks charge for All-Ireland glory and is one of the big marquee players still left in the club championship series.
The spotlight will be shone brightly on him as the Stacks near ever closer to their semi-final against Ulster champs Slaughtneil.
The year 2014 couldn’t have went any better for a player who was written off in many quarters and with the Kerry captaincy also in the bag, could 2015 be even better?
