WE decided to hop into the car and take a trip up to the Mitchels area today (Tuesday) to see if there was much colour around the heartland of the green and gold.
We weren’t disappointed!
The residents of Mitchels Avenue and Hawley Park especially, made a great effort with flags and bunting, but there were smatterings of green and gold all over Mitchels Road and Kevin Barry Villas as well.
And with the proud tradition of football in the area, the Mitchels people never pass up a chance to show their green and gold pride in club and county!
