GARDAI have issued a warning about a mobile phone scam.
People in Kerry have been getting calls or left messages where they can hear a woman screaming asking for help. When the person rings back the number they will be charged a sum of money on their phone bills or people on ‘pay as you go’ services will see their credit diminished.
Gardai are warning people to ignore the messages and not to ring back the number which – while at first glance looking like a regular number – has an extra digit.
