FOR many, Christmas is a time for rest, relaxation and indulging in the finer things in life, but if you want to get active, then the annual St Stephen’s Day Walk in aid of the Kerry Hospice Foundation is for you.

The walk, organised by Michael ‘Fox’ O’Connor, is held every year in memory of the late Bill Kirby who was a great supporter of the event and his family continues that tradition to this day.

The charity fundraiser began back in 1999 and over €350,000 has been raised for charities over the years.

After the walk, participants will get a chance to warm up after with hot drinks back at the Brogue Inn after a job well done. Sponsorship Cards available from Michael Fox O’Connor 087 9833075. Donations accepted on the day.
