A FUNDRAISER is being organised for this Saturday where people can learn all about a healthy lifestyle with all the proceeds going to a local charity .
Kerry Pilates and its founder Izabela Wozniak have taken it upon themselves to organise a charity fundraiser for the Kerry Hospice Foundation which will take place in Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Club between 10am-3pm.
“There’s me and four other girls organising the event,” said Izabela. “There will be a workshop starting every hour on the hour from when we start at 10am until 3pm when we finish,” said Izabela, who said the event is free but people are encouraged to make a donation to the Hospice.
Spectators and participants that come down to the event can expect to see five workshops over the course of the day including demonstrations from Dr Ailis Brosnan on making healthy smoothies and juices to pilates and yoga classes later in the day.
“We are taking bookings at the moment and we will being doing a demonstration class for all the workshops at 10am that morning for all the participants. There will be no tickets sold, it’s basically whatever people can or want to donate with all the donations going to the ‘Kerry Hospice Foundation,” Izabela continued.
“There will be no set price for a workshop. We know that times are still quite tough for people so we did not want to set a price. The main aim is to support the charity so whatever people can donate will be appreciated.”
“When I looked at the Kerry Hospice Foundation, I thought that the work that they are doing is so great. They do a lot of good work around the area so that is why I thought they would be a good charity to support,” she finished.
