WHILE Wales and northern England braces itself for Storm Doris, it looks like we won’t escape either… although to a much lesser scale.

The deepening Atlantic low pressure system is forecast to track across Ireland and Britain Wednesday night and Thursday.

Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow weather advisory for the country which takes effect from midnight tonight until Thursday at midday.

Winds will increase to mean speeds of 45 to 65 km/h with peak gusts in exposed sites of 90 to 110 km/h; southwesterly gradually veering northwesterly overnight.
