Status Orange Wind Warning Issued For Kerry As Storm Kathleen Approaches

THE Status Yellow Wind warning issued for the country on Saturday has been upgraded to Orange for Kerry and three other counties — Mayo, Galway and Cork.

Met Éireann says Storm Kathleen will bring gale force southerly winds, with some severe and damaging gusts. Possible impacts include some fallen trees, difficult travel conditions, debris, loose objects displaced, coastal flooding and wave overtopping.

The warning is valid from 7am on Saturday to 5pm later that evening, at which time it will revert to Status Yellow until 8pm.
