A TRALEE man is organising a fantastic night of original rock, electronic and hip hop music at The Greyhound Bar on the Saturday before Christmas.

Patrick Dolan is currently living in Boston but he’s assembled a host of local bands and singers for the free event on December 21.

The acts taking the stage include mydarling, Deep Down, E-Train, Bandicoot Allstars, 2 Day Nation, DNS, Just, Public Universal Friend, Owen Rua, Radar Fry and Mike Dolan.

“All the artists are Tralee natives but it’s a mix of people that are currently living in Tralee and some living elsewhere,” said Patrick.

“The idea for the show was born last year when I started getting back into playing music and I wanted to reunite some of the bands that I used to play in with my best friends around Tralee.”

“We grew up playing in the KDYS and Club HeadBangBang in the Greyhound Bar and I really just wanted to recreate some of the energy that the Tralee music scene had at the time,” continued Patrick.

“We’ve got a diverse array of acts this year from rock to hip hop from electronic to acoustic singer songwriters. I never thought the night would be as successful as it was last year but the response we had from friends, family and everyone that came out to support us was overwhelming.”

“I’m so happy to be organising this again this year because it brings so many people together and it means a lot to me. There is no cover charge on the night. I just want people to experience great music and come out and enjoy themselves,” said Patrick.

If you want to hear new music then head down to The Greyhound Bar from 7.30pm on Saturday, December 21.
