Hardy Souls Brave The Elements For Rotary Club 10K Run

Posted by

AN ESTIMATED 150 participants took part in the Rotary Club’s ‘Run Kingdom Run’ event, despite the awful weather conditions which were wet from start to finish.

The 10K run was won by Dublin’s Gary Condon who came in at the finish line at the Brandon Hotel in a time of  34.49, beating Tralee man Micheal O’Regan by a matter of seconds.

“We got 150 around which is excellent for a bad morning, it went very well,” said one of the event organisers Marcus Howlett.

President of the Tralee Rotary Club John Moriarty was also pleased.

“We’re delighted with the turn out despite the weather, this is the first Tralee Rotary 10K run and we will be hoping to do another again next year,” he said.
