THERE was bad news yesterday for jobs in Tralee as fashion retailer Swamp announced it is to close with immediate effect.
The Tralee store, located at Abbeycourt, is one of the seven stores in Ireland to shut and it is understood that up to 60 staff nationwide will be impacted.
The closure has come about as a result of the ill health of its managing director and difficult trading conditions.

The other outlets are located in Cork (2), Limerick, Waterford, Galway and Athlone. Swamp has been trading for the past 30 years in locations all over Ireland with its headquarters in Cork.
In a statement, the company thanked all their employees for their hard work and their customers for their support over the years.
