UNDER 8 BOYS

John Mitchel’s U8 Boy’s enjoyed a great training session on Sunday last. As with COVID-19 Guidelines we made 3 small groups & had 3 exercise stations rotating each group every 15 minutes. Our session ended with a 20-minute kick about & it was great to see all the happy faces after a good session. Our coaches will be in touch with parents during the week as to whether we can or can’t train depending on what our Government say during the week until then kids keep on practicing!!

UNDER 8 & 10 GIRLS

Once more there was a fantastic turnout at Ballyseedy on Sunday morning as the girls u-8 and u-10 girls turned up eager for action.

Right from the start the signs were there that the girls had been practising during the week as they got right to work, warming up with some point scoring, before Sadhbh took them through some warm up drills.

With the restrictions continuing in place, there was no game, but there were a number of competitive drills with the girls split into two groups. There was a very serious vibe about the drills, with the winners getting to choose the punishment for the losers. This means that everyone gave 100% during the drills with some great laughter included.

Aisling, Hannah, Ava, Emma, Saoirse, Millie, Maddison, Aeibhin, Jenny, Aideen, Leila, Grace, Ava, all stood out and there have been significant improvements since the start of the season.

UNDER 10 BOYS

We had another two big turnouts for training last Thursday evening & Sunday morning. We will carry on for a few more weeks as long as the current Covid19 restrictions allow us to do so. The lads were kept going on their skills & shooting & even though they couldn’t have a game we had a crossbar challenge. This went the way of the Tralee schools but I think there’s a rematch on the cards next week. Training this week is on the astro on Thursday from 5.30pm to 6.45pm & Sunday 10.30am to 11am as long as the Covid19 restrictions allow us.

UNDER 12’s

Our u12s had their last session of the year last Thursday. Great to see all the lads for one last fun session! They had a fantastic year with just one solitary loss between the green and gold teams, both teams earning county honours in the process. Many thanks to all the players, coaches and not forgetting parents for the great commitment displayed through the year. Please God we will have plenty to look forward to with this group next year and beyond!!!

U14 GIRLS

John Mitchel’s Girl’s training continues every Wednesday evening

U12S 6.00pm to 7.00pm

U14S 7.00pm to 8.00pm

New players always welcome.
