Following a North Kerry board meeting we will now play Currow in North Kerry U14 trophy final – date to be confirmed.

In the Town League we are waiting for details on competition structure.

Training will continue for the next week. Teamer will be sent out re training.

Well done to Rachel Kilgallen and Simi Ogungbesan who travelled to Mallow with Kerry U15 Development squad to play in the Munster Inter County Blitz last Saturday.

Tralee district U15 team are down to play West Kerry in the North Kerry Championship District final.

U6, U8 & U10s:
We had a wonderful morning of games at our main pitch on Sunday with well over 100 under 6’s, 8’s and 10’s putting their best foot forward and showing top class skills that they have developed over the years. The 4 boys teams that took part in the Sylvie Mason Blitz were team Roddy O Donnell (Captain Sam Fitzgerald), team Doc Connolly ( Capt. Darragh O Callaghan), team Teddy O Dowd (Capt. Sean Og Brosnan) and team Jacque McDonnell (Capt. Andrew Kerins).

The standard of football was superb and this showed because there was very little difference between the teams in the score lines. Some excellent scores were taken, but the defences were on top for large periods.

The interplay between players was excellent and everyone showed huge commitment. At the end of the first three games it came down to the two finals. Team Teddy O Dowd took on team Roddy O’Donnell and it was a cracker with team Teddy O Dowd coming out on top by a slender margin to win the plate.

In the shield final, team Doc Connolly faced team Jacque McDonnell whom they had beaten in the earlier round but it was all to play for in this game. Both teams served up some special football and as the final whistle blew it was team Jacques McDonnell who came out on top.
Well done to all the players on all the teams.

At the medal presentation the Juvenile Chairman thanked all the players, mentors, refs and parents for all the work and we will see you again next year. Enjoy the break but remember to keep fit, some of you are moving up an age group next year.

Thanks again to everyone, we had a wonderful year training you and you all are a credit to yourselves and your parents.
