Seniors:
The focus for this and the past few weeks has now turned to the county senior quarter finals and our upcoming clash with St Brendans. This should be an unique occasion given the prize at stake but also the added ingredient of the familiarity of the players with each other with many having competed together at schools and county level.

Add in the opening clash of Austin Stacks and Dingle and a bumper crowd is expected to attend – it all kicks off @ 6 pm with  our game throwing in @ 7.45 – extra time in both games will be played in the event of a draw at the end of normal time.

Coiste Trá Lí junior league:

We went down to Ardfert in the Coiste Tra Lí town league semi final on Sunday in Strand Road; we faced the breeze in the first half and went in at half time trailing on a score line of 2-06 to 0-05 – our scorers were John McGrath with 3 and Tom Hoare and Gearóid Savage with one apiece.

On the resumption we took the game to  Ardfert but though we managed to eat into the lead, we failed to bridge the gap and lost out eventually by three points, 2-10 to 1-10.

Team: Tom Houston, Aidan Mangan, Thomas McGrath, Kieran Mangan, Rory O’Connor, Jason O’Leary, Seán Collins, Darragh McElligott, Gearóid Hartnett, Donagh O’Brien, James Lyons, John McGrath, Rory Molloy, Tom Hoare, Gearóid Savage.

Academy:
A great morning of fun and of course football was had by all who travelled to Killorglin on Sunday  for games against Laune Rangers; thanks to the players, the parents and the coaches who for travelling and a sincere thanks to Laune Rangers for their warm welcome and their hospitality.

U-16s:
We hosted division one county league champions, Na Gaeil on Sunday morning in Healy Park in the Coiste Trá Lí town league; we were on top in the first half and led at half time by 3 points. The second half saw honours even for most of the contest but a strong finish by the Killeen boys saw them take the spoils with two late goals giving them a 3 point win. It was hard luck on our lads but they put up a fine performance against a strong side.
