Strand RoadKerins O’Rahillys 10K

The Kerins O’Rahillys 10K took place on Sunday last. Runners and walkers of all standards took part and were presented with a unique medal to mark the occasion on finishing the race. First home in the men’s race was Michael O’Regan; Catriona Barry was first in for the ladies.

The team event was won by Listowel and they were presented with the John Dowling Perpetual trophy. The first ladies team over the finish line were the ladies from Na Gaeil.

The first Kerins O’Rahillys finisher was John Kelly. Chairman Frank O’Connor presented the prizes and thanked Frank (Tyler) O’Connor whose brainchild the event was, Catriona O’Sullivan, Peter Nolan, Breda Dyland and Marcus Howlett who helped with the organisation and to all those who helped with the event on the day and especially to all those who ran and walked on the day. It was an unqualified success and will no doubt become a regular date on the running calendar every year in Tralee.
