NÓTAÍ NA mBAN
Gaelic football is a big part of life in Kerry. We all take pride in the success of our teams , from coach to player, to supporter in both ladies and mens…

All roads lead to Croke Park last Sunday the second week in a row for many of us., this time for the Kerry Ladies All Ireland final v Meath . Our bus load of supporters wore their green and gold to support and cheered on Declan Quill as joint Kerry  manager and the team from the Cusack Stand lower tier.

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for our Kerry ladies. On arrival in Croke Park supporters were given flags sponsored by TG4 with their club colours…a lovely touch.

The girls had a fantastic day out and enjoyed themselves. This is something we haven’t been able to do the past few years so last Sunday’s trip was extra special for us.

We may not have brought home the Brendan Martin Cup but are over the moon with what our Senior county ladies, management and executive have achieved. Well done to everyone!

LIDL’S ONE GOOD CLUB PROGRAMME
For a ten week period, we took part in Lidl’s One Good Club initiative and being the only Kerry club selected , this made it extra special for everyone.

We didn’t get to do everything we had planned in this timeframe  so will be continuing our work over the next while.

We have arranged to have more talks, competitions etc. We will be letting everyone know in our club notes, social media etc of what is happening.
We were delighted with generosity of our club and community .

Well done to everyone who attended training last Sunday. The coaches were ready to go when they arrived and everyone enjoyed an hour of training filled with fun and laughter while learning key skills. The coaches are encouraging the children to practice at home as much as they can wether it’s their solo, hand passing or kicking skills, even if it’s for 5-10 minutes each evening it all adds up. Thanks to Nathan from Ballyseedy Gardens for supplying the treats after training finished. As always we look forward to seeing you all again next Sunday at 10am in Pat Healy Park Ballyrickard.  Please ensure you check clubzap for all news, fixture’s and updates in your relevant group.
