Seniors:

Saturday 23rd March  will see us opening our county league division 1 campaign when Laune Rangers are the visitors to Strand Road.

This will be a tough opening encounter as Laune Rangers, newly promoted, will be keen to impress on their return to the premier division.

The time of the fixture has yet to be confirmed but will take place on 23rd due to Kerry’s final league game, home to Galway,  fixed for Sunday 24th with all Division 1 games taking place simultaneously in the battle for final places or relegation.

Our division 6 side will also open their campaign that weekend also  with an away  game vs Fossa – the team will be managed by Cathal Sheehy and Denis Hanafin – more on these games as we get confirmation of these fixtures.

Kerry GAA Development Leagues 2024:

We have entered a team in the U23 development league which will begin with a home tie vs Laune Rangers on Saturday next 16th March @ 5 pm.

This is an important age group which recognises the need to provide regular games for those in this age bracket who may not be part of our senior squad.

Mercy Mounthawk:

We would like to convey the best wishes of the club to all involved with Mercy Mounthawk next Saturday 16th as they take on reigning champions Omagh CBS in the Hogan Cup final in Croke Park.

It’s a huge occasion for the school but most especially for our club members Tomás Kennedy, Jake Hoare, Bréandán Meehan and Odhran Kerins. There’s history in the making for this quartet and what a proud day it promises to be for their families and friends.

Beir bua agus beannacht!

U12 Girls:

This group are enjoying their training on Thursday nights for the moment with their enthusiastic coaches who put them through their paces.

This week we focused on ball handling and kick passes. The girls put in massive work throughout the session and we finished with a game where they showed their skills and teamwork. Training continues this Thursday 6-7pm on the Astro in CBS The Green. New members are always welcome to join this fantastic bunch of girls. Contact us through our social Media Platforms or come along this Thursday evening.

U16 Ladies:

It was back to basics for our girls this week as we prepared for the North Kerry league. With good numbers on Tuesday we had a high tempo warm up followed by a full game focusing on defense/ attack and minding the ball.

Friday nights gym session had smaller numbers than usual due to Code and other activities but all girls were accounted for.  We were delighted to have our two county girls join us for the session which ended with Dj Naoise giving us a new song for our warm up and core work so looking forward to trying it out on Tuesday evening.

Sunday,  as it was Mother’s Day we gave our mothers and girls the day off. It’s great to see parent’s commitment week in and week out making sure all our girls get to training and games on time so it was a well deserved break and good way to finish the week.

Congrats to MTU ladies football Team and management on their fantastic win last Friday night in Cork winning the Giles Cup. Representing Kerins O’Rahillys on the team was Lianna Williams, Joanne Dealey and Danny Leane (Manager). We are very proud of all of them and their achievement.
