TO address the skills gap and staff shortage in hospitality and tourism sectors in County Kerry, a new fully funded course in Dingle may be of interest.
Applications are open for the upcoming Certificate in Culinary Arts (Food Preparation and Cooking) run at Dingle Cookery School which starts on Monday, November 25.
This is a pathway course provided by Kerry College of Further Education and Training. It is targeted at those who wish to start a career in the culinary arts, food preparation or progression to the National Commis Chef Apprenticeship Programme.
Each learner will be based in an industry standard production kitchen at Dingle Cookery School and with have their own workstation.
The course is fully funded, so no fees are payable. It runs for 20 weeks full time and aims to develop a range of basic food prep, cooking and culinary arts skills.
