Over €50k In Prizes At The ‘Night of Champions’

ONE of the highlights of the Kerry greyhound racing calender is nearly upon us.

‘The Boylesports.com Race of Champions’, takes place on Friday, June 6 at The Kingdom Greyhound Stadium and huge crowds are expected for the popular event.

“This year we are delighted to welcome back Boylesports as the main title sponsor of what is regarded as one of the most prestigious greyhound races in the country,”  said Declan Dowling, General Manager at The Kingdom Greyhound Stadium.

Some of the best dogs in the country will be in action along with the gaze of RTE cameras who who will be covering the event between 8 and 9pm. The winning prize for the ‘Race of Champions’ is €15,000 and over the whole night, the prize fund for races will exceed €50,000.

Kerry GAA stars of both football and hurling will be there in abundance in an effort to raise money for the Kerry training fund and promote the town and county.

Tickets can be purchased from all GAA Clubs and on the gate on the night and are priced at €10 per person. Children under 12 go free.
