THE Ring of Kerry cycle isn’t the only charity event taking place in that beautiful part of the county this weekend.
The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk , now in its 11th year, is also in full swing with over 100 people taking part from yesterday until Sunday.
The route takes walkers around the Sneem, Caherdaniel and Templenoe areas each day so walkers are guaranteed some spectacular scenery.
The walk has to date raised almost €635,000 for Breakthrough Cancer Research supporting cancer research programmes administered by Cork Cancer Research Centre, helping researchers to translate lab discoveries into new cancer treatment opportunities for poor prognosis and incurable cancers.
