AN annual fundraiser for Kerry Hospice is back this Christmas and your help is needed to make it a success.
This is the third year of the ‘Light To Remember’ virtual tree and with the website now live, the Hospice is inviting people to log on to leave a tribute to a loved one.
Radio Kerry’s Deirdre Walsh, Kerry Hospice ambassador, launched the tree recently, but with COVID restrictions, unfortunately things aren’t the same this year.

“This year is a bit different on previous years when we had a light-up ceremony on the grounds of University Hospital Kerry,” said Andrea O’Donoghue of Kerry Hospice Foundation.
“However, due to COVID, this will not take place. Also the virtual light was €5 but now it is an open donation so people can contribute what they like. There is also a live tribute book where you can add the person you are lighting the light for. It can be a loved one that is no longer with us, a friend, family member or someone who is sick at the moment.”
“It has been a huge success and is so lovely to see so many heartfelt tributes. The tree is now live so log on to www.lighttoremember.com,” said Andrea.
That time of year again. It has been a very strange 2020 but what better way to remember that some one who is no longer with us, away for Christmas or just some one who you haven’t seen in a while. Why not light a bulb on the KHF tree to remember some one special 🎄 pic.twitter.com/1qx5mEpbtA
