THE Listellick NS 150th anniversary celebrations were extra special for six former pupils on Friday night.
The girls who grace the cover of Micheál O Cinnéide’s book on the school were reunited over 60 years after their photo was taken.
A special Mass to mark the anniversary was said by Bishop of Kerry Ray Browne, assisted by 12 clergymen, in Our Lady and St Brendan’s Church on Friday night attended by up to 500 people.
Afterwards, in the Pastoral Centre, the six ladies were reunited and shared their memories of that time in Listellick, but they couldn’t remember whether the photo was taken in 1952 or 1953.
