Local Hair And Beauty Salon To Help Out Palliative Care Unit

A LOCAL hair and beauty salon has will raise funds during the month of May for a great cause.

Ballybeg Hair and Beauty are doing a month long initiative to support the Palliative Care Unit at UHK.

“We all love to look and feel good and at Ballybeg Hair and Beauty for the month of May we invite you to style your hair with us and support a very worthy cause,” said Marie Baker of the salon.

For each colour and full head of highlights they will donate €5 to the cause while for each blow-dry we will donate €2 to the cause. This will apply to appointments on Tuesday Wednesdays and Thursdays for the month of May.

They will also have donation buckets available in the salon for other days should their customers wish to support the Palliative Care Unit.

Speaking at the launch if the initiative, Marie Baker said; “Many in this county have been touched by cancer and to see the facility we have so close to us providing such an amazing support to those with cancer and their family and friends, we all have a duty to support the wonderful establishment that Palliative Care is.

“Myself and my experienced team are delighted to welcome our regular clients and  hopefully some new faces  to take part in this month long fundraiser and we hope you will join with us to raise what we can for the facility.”
