THE cold spell is set to continue until the end of the the week and Met Eireann has issued the first of many Status Yellow – Low Temperature/Ice warnings for Ireland.
They say it will be cold today with icy conditions later tonight and tomorrow morning. The warning is valid from 9pm on Monday to 10am on Tuesday.
The cold weather will continue all week with conditions getting more chilly from Wednesday evening getting as low as -3ºC that night.
Looking long-term, it looks like it will get milder for the weekend with a respite from the low temperatures on Saturday and Sunday with a return to freezing conditions next week.
